Brief overview of racing experience.

I have been in racing for 27 years initially starting at the British Racing School with a placement before moving to Johnston Racing where I have worked for just over 26 years. As a senior Racing Groom I carry out any duty asked from racing, riding to breaking in yearlings on the ground and assisting the younger staff in backing them.

Key or favourite moment in racing

Winning the Racing Industry Employee of the year award 2022 at the Godolphin Stud and Stable Awards.

Why do you love coaching?

I love seeing the young staff grow in confidence and progress, especially when they doubt themselves. I also then get to see their relationship with the horses improve.

Be patient, listen and learn, work hard and you can achieve your goals.
