Human First Aid Newmarket

  • The qualification has been designed to address the most commonly faced first aid scenarios, including:

    • Understanding the role and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
    • Recovery positions
    • Airway management
    • Managing rider specific injuries, including head injuries and skullcap removal
    • Safe removal of a riders back protective
    • Recognition and treatment of damage to upper limb injuries
    • Soft tissue injuries
    • Minor injuries and bandaging
    • Lyme Disease
    • Hypothermia and hyperthermia
    • AED/ defibrillator use
    • Accident reporting
  • Cost:

    The Emergency First Aid at Work Course – Equestrian Specific is partially funded, leaving a £60.00 per person non-refundable contribution to pay. Refreshments & lunch are provided.

    The qualification is awarded by Medi-K Training, a leading awarding organisation in the first aid for equestrians. Delivered in accordance with currently accepted first aid best practice, and satisfies the requirement of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The qualification is valid for three years.
